The TV that has the PlayStation plugged into it decided to die - ironically on Fathers Day. It was very sad, but much rejoicing ensued as the prospect of hassle-free entertainment possibilities appeared on the radar. We have (mostly Steve has) been beating on the old picture tube regularly for the past few years to get it to behave when the picture yawns into crazy zig-zag patterns with loud crackling static noise at irritating arbitrary intervals. But we've been (im)patiently making due because *ahem* someone(that would be me) didn't want to spend the $$ to replace it until it died completely.

I am still recovering from sticker price shock over the new digital TV technologies but we decided to cave in and get a tuner with HDTV built in. And what the heck... lets go for the flat plasma 40-inch wide screen with all the bells and whistles. (the pathetic whimpering sound you hear is our credit card who is not used to this kind of blatant abuse)

The cats think the big box it came in is just the coolest thing - it may have to become a permanent piece of furniture in our house (or not). We were very surprised that the new TV pulls in very clear pictures on most channels with just rabbit ears! When we win the lottery, (after we pay off the visa); we'll get a gazillian channeled direct TV with TIVO and install surround sound in our many windowed home on a bluff overlooking Lake Michigan; then we may never leave the house for entertainment again.

What would you do if you won the lottery?

We would buy a house in Durango since we can't afford it now. Pay Quintans medical bills off, We probably would have had more kids if we could have afforded them. And last but nlt least we would go on a Vacation to tahiti where you can rent a bungaloo that sits in the ocean.

I give this much thought often. Considering the number of siblings Kirby and I have (15 between the 2 of us) we would either be really greedy and spend it all on us!!! A brand new car for me that would automatically sweep up any crumbs in the back seat. and a Bass boat for Kirby. Or the other option would be to share with our family and be broke again! either way it is a stress I could probably manage!

Who could resist a question like this? Juicy!!! I would buy Mark a boat and a trailer and arrange a place to store it (sorry, not in OUR back yard, uh uh). Would send him to bamboo fly fishing rod making classes, and give him open season on fishing catalog splurges. For Sam, I'd indulge the dirt bike hobby. We'd take a family cruise!!! Would like to see Scotland and Ireland and touch base with home roots, then accompany Mark to Korea for a tour. I'd send Sam and his Dad on a trip to Colombia (I'd be too scared to go, heehee). We'd choose some tile for the house floors and...what the heck...maybe I'd get another chihuahua. What about you, Bonita.....??????
